Amazing patient testimonial

Today we received an amazing iLASIK patient testimonial that we of course wanted to brag a bit about. Here goes:

“Simply put, Oregon iLasik has changed my life. I had worn very thick glasses since I was 3 years old. Of course my mother had to buy the biggest, brightest pair of frames she could find which added insult to injury for me, but hey it was the 90’s. I hated my glasses from early on, the teasing, them falling off of my face, me falling asleep in them and waking up with a bruised nose and the inability to see outside the parameters of those lenses made me feel closed in and different from my peers. During my teenage years my prescription finally stabilized and I graduated into soft contact lenses and that was heaven on earth for many years. I had always been interested in the possibilities of Lasik eye surgery as I was completely dependent on my corrective lenses but was always told I wouldn’t be a candidate for various reasons. Then I heard about the Visian Implantable Collamer Lens and the possibilities of implanting a lens into my eye to bring me perfect vision.

My eyes started becoming intolerant to my contact lenses and they were such a pain to deal with daily that I finally visited Oregon iLasik. We discussed my options and after consulting my family, I was finally set for surgery! I had the Visian ICL surgery June of 2015 and I couldn’t be happier. Previously my prescription was a -12.00, meaning I could not see more than 1/12th of a meter away from my face. I now see 20/15, one line better than 20/20 and in such beautiful detail it’s incredible! It’s like seeing in HD 24/7. It is an unbelievable experience to be able to wake up in the morning, open my eyes and see! Dr. Haines is an incredible Ophthalmologist. He was basically at my beck and call for weeks after my procedure, I had his personal cell phone number for questions or concerns and he was very patient and understanding when I was a little more than nervous. The staff at Oregon iLasik and The Eye Center made me feel like family. They were patient, kind, funny and encouraging. Having eye surgery isn’t the most relaxing thing you can undergo but Dr.Haines, Gina and his staff made it the best experience I could hope for!
