Christmas Red Cabbage Recipe

Red cabbage? Yepp. While this may not be a traditional Christmas food for many, it perhaps should be. And not just for the red color, or for the rich savory taste, but red cabbage has significant health benefits for you as well.  So try something new this season and feel good about doing it! Here’s a recipe that we got from our friends at Natural Grocers on 201 Coburg Road in Eugene.

  • Yields: 6 Servings
  • 3 Tbsp(s) apple cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp(s) chicken broth or water
  • 1 Tbsp(s) Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp(s) cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp(s) butter
  • 1 Unit(s) small red onion
  • 1 Unit(s) small head red cabbage
  • 0 Unknown(s) sea salt & pepper to taste
